Rep. Rosenthal Acknowledges: June is National Safety Month

Help Prevent Leading Causes of Injury

Every June, the National Safety Council (NSC) marks National Safety Month by providing educational information on emergency preparedness, slips, trips, and falls, heat-related illness, and hazard recognition. The National Safety Council was founded in 1913 and is located in Itasca, IL. For more than 100 years, they have been a safety advocate in areas that make the greatest impact: workplace, roadway, and impairment.

Companies and the general public have the resources they need which they can actually use to reduce risks. The NSC mission is to create a culture of safety that will make people safer in the workplace or just out and about. Also, the NSC encourages everyone to be aware of hazards during recreational activates. The tools and resources they offer keeps families safe and healthy.
