FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Springfield, IL…Last week, State Representative Wayne Rosenthal (R-Morrisonville) visited Sparc Work Center in Springfield. He had the opportunity to speak with employees who make a difference to so many people with disabilities. After his visit, he wanted to share his experience of seeing how Sparc is changing the lives for so many people.
“The commitment these employees have to help others in need is remarkable and reflects the values of Sparc,” said Rep. Rosenthal. “The programs and services they offer to individuals with disabilities is outstanding and provides a better life and purpose to each person.”
Sparc was founded in 1951 and continues to advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They offer 24-hour Residential Support, Vocational Services, Job Placement, Supported Employment, and other programs.
Their mission is to enable everyone to successfully live, learn, work, and socialize independently. The support from the community speaks volume for the dedication towards helping those in need.
