5 Good Bills I Voted Yes To

HB4412: Amends the Child Care Act of 1969.

Improves child care facility safety and allows the Department of Children and Family Services, third-party vendors, or conditional employees to complete criminal background investigations.

HB4874: Amends the Illinois Controlled Substances Act

This bill does not allow a pharmacist to refuse to fill a valid prescription because it is not prescribed electronically.

HB4059: Amends the Child Care Act of 1969

Requires the he Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) or any State agency to host licensing orientation programs to help educate day care centers, day care home, and group day care home providers about the child day care licensing process.

HB4733: Amends the University of Illinois Act

Expands honorary scholarships to children of veterans who served during the invasion of Panama between December 20, 1989 and January 31, 1990.

HB1855: Amends the Illinois Forestry Development Act.

When a timber buyer buys timber in this State, the timber buyer and timber grower shall determine the amount to be paid for timber. The timber buyer will deduct from the payment to the timber grower an amount which equals 4% of the purchase price or 4% of the minimum fair market value.
