Session Deadline and Republicans Have Yet To See The Budget

We’ve made it to Democrats’ self-imposed end of session deadline and Republicans have yet to see the state budget. This week has been very busy in the House with debate and committees going late into the evening. We are about to pass what is expected to be the largest budget in Illinois history: $53 billion dollars. Unfortunately, we have seen very few bills passed that actually improve the quality of life for residents in Illinois.

We are expecting a full weekend of work ahead to get the budget passed.
