State Rep. Wayne Rosenthal is reminding everyone of $400 Million in matching grants are available for consideration through the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) until June 1.
2024 Local Project Funding Application
This program will provide state funding for local transportation priorities. A notice of funding opportunity is open for solicitation of local transportation initiatives that most align with the intent of the legislation and pursue goals related to enhancing mobility, local assets, pursuing complete street initiatives, and improving safety.
Projects will be prioritized based on readiness, as assessed in the application, and disadvantaged status, as assessed using data to evaluate economic hardship, travel factors, and environmental factors. More information is available on grants.illinois.gov under CSFA 494-00-3626.
The Illinois Department of Transportation will review responses to the simplified application below. After the grant period closes, finalists may be contacted by the Department for additional information, such as an in-depth project narrative, map of location, photos, budget, conflict of interest, or other details as needed. There is no guarantee of funding.
