Springfield Firefighters Meet with Rep. Rosenthal at Capitol

“Thank you to Justin Tintori and members of the Springfield Fire Department (Local 37) who stopped by on Friday,” said Rep. Wayne Rosenthal. “The Springfield Fire Department has implemented several best practices and is recognized by the Center for Public Safety Management for these practices.”

The Springfield Fire Department is dedicated to protecting lives and property through emergency response, fire prevention, and public safety education. Serving the residents of Springfield and surrounding Fire Protection Districts, the department responds to fires, medical emergencies, technical rescues, and hazardous material incidents. In addition to emergency services, the department enforces fire codes, conducts safety inspections, investigates fire causes, and educates the community on fire prevention.

Firefighters receive continuous training to maintain their skills and readiness, ensuring they can respond effectively to any situation. The department also utilizes advanced technology to support emergency response efforts. With multiple fire stations strategically located throughout the city, the Springfield Fire Department remains committed to delivering prompt and professional service to keep the community safe.
