Rosenthal and Coffey Host Holiday Drive with Toys for Tots
Springfield, IL…State Representatives Wayne Rosenthal (R-Morrisonville) and Mike Coffey (R-Springfield) are taking the initiative to help children in need this holiday season. From now until December 20th, new unwrapped toys will be collected at their district office in Springfield. Pick-up requests can also be made by contacting their office.
“Toys for Tots is an excellent program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and we want to help them achieve their goals this year,” said Rosenthal. “A small gift can make Christmas special for children in need and I’m grateful to contribute to a great cause.”
“Children deserve to have a special Christmas, and the excitement of unwrapping gifts is one thing they always remember,” said Coffey. “We are collecting gifts to put a smile on a child’s face and let them know that someone is thinking of them on Christmas.”
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation was established in 1991 by the U. S. Marine Corps. The foundation raises funds, purchases toys, educates the public, and handles daily operations. The mission is to provide hope to disadvantaged children during the Christmas holiday.
