State Rep. Wayne Rosenthal (R-Morrisonville) hosted Victoria (Tori) Zobus from Sherman as his “Page for the Day” on Thursday. Tori is a Junior from Williamsville High School where she plays basketball and soccer. Tori plans to attend college and study environmental engineering and political science and may one day want to work for the legislature or even serve as a member of the House of Representatives.

During her day at the Capitol, Ms. Zobus was able to shadow Rep. Rosenthal to various meetings and during the legislative session in the Illinois House of Representatives. One of the meetings was with House Minority Leader Tony McCombie, Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II, Natalie Phelps Finney, Department of Natural Resources Director, and Chris of the Illinois Farm Bureau. The topic of discussion was deer hunting seasons and the deer population and how crops are being damaged by the over-population of deer in Illinois.
